Hydrochloric Acid - Chemically Pure (HCL)

PRODUCTION AND APPLICATION

The chemically pure hydrochloric acid is a colourless transparent liquid. Its molecular weight is 36, 46 and its density 1,15-1,19 g/ cm3. The chemically pure hydrochloric acid is used as a chemically pure reagent as well as in electronics.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

The hydrochloric acid containers should be kept in closed and dry rooms.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

The hydrochloric acid vapours strongly damage the upper respiratoty tract. With in contact with the skin it causes burns. The allowable content of hydrogen chloride in the air of working rooms should not exceed 7 mg/ m3. Safety means: gas mask, protective glasses, rubber shoes and ruberized apron.
