history
The first
plant for production of chlorine and polyvinyl chloride was commissioned
in 1962 in the valley of Chemistry – Devnya, marking the beginning
of "Polimeri". Its production facilities produced liquid
chlorine, caustic soda (sodium hydroxide), hydrochloric acid,
chlorine lime, carbide, vinyl chloride, and emulsion polyvinyl
chloride.

At
the time of its founding in 1961, the company "Polimeri"
AD functioned as a constituent part of the chemical plant "Karl
Marx", town of Devnya.
Its initial registration as a joint stock company was made in
July 1993, pursuant to Company File ¹ 4479/1993 at Varna District
Court.
The amount of the registered capital as of 31st Dec 2004 was
5 324 513 BGN, distributed in 5 324 513 bearer shares of a nominal
value of 1 BGN.
