The first
plant for production of chlorine and polyvinyl chloride was commissioned
in 1962 in the valley of Chemistry – Devnya, marking the beginning
of "Polimeri". Its production facilities produced liquid
chlorine, caustic soda (sodium hydroxide), hydrochloric acid,
chlorine lime, carbide, vinyl chloride, and emulsion polyvinyl
chloride. 
At
the time of its founding in 1961, the company "Polimeri"
AD functioned as a constituent part of the chemical plant "Karl
Marx", town of Devnya.
A leading
objective for the development of the Company is the investment
program. It comprises 20 projects aimed at achieving two main
